Services

LifeTec Queensland provides information, education, and consultation on how assistive technology can improve your quality of life and maintain your independence in the community.

We also work closely with the Indigenous community to promote and tailor services to meet the unique needs of this population.

LifeTec's access to the cutting edge of assistive technology enables us to provide up-to-the-minute advice and practical, hands-on experience of the latest aids, equipment, and devices to suit individual needs.

If you are unable to make it into our Brisbane or Townsville display centre, LilfeTec Queensland can visit you throughout the year!

Our Townsville Centre covers areas such as Cardwell, Ingham, Charters Towers, Bowen, Ayr and Magnetic Island.

While our Brisbane Centre covers areas inclusive of the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, to the NSW Border.

If you reside outside of these areas please see our Outreach Calendar for details regarding upcoming trips nearest to you.

Every day, LifeTec provides the knowledge and skills on how assistive technology can help people from all walks of life:

A group of family carers discover a range of assistive technology that can help them care for their loved ones at home for longer and prevent admission to a nursing home.

A child with cerebral palsy trials a switch to enable him to use a computer and remain at his regular school.
A woman with multiple sclerosis discovers a scooter to help her access the community and continue to self-manage her health.

Indigenous health workers attend an information session on equipment suited for remote areas to enable their ageing elder to remain in the community.

An elderly gentleman trials a variety of pressure care cushions to reduce his chances of developing pressure sores.

A person with a mobility impairment trials a power wheelchair.
A group of special education teachers update their skills and knowledge on assistive technology for children with a disability.

A group of occupational therapists receive expert knowledge on the range of hoists available for lifting and transferring clients with a disability.
