LifeTec would like you to join us on Wednesday the 8th August for a free morning tea to celebrate the launch of the new National Online Resource for Seniors. The morning will also include free entertainment, as well as a quick demonstration of the new website. Participants will have the opportunity to try out the website themselves as well as take a tour of LifeTec’s interactive display centre.
LifeTec is a not-for-profit organisation that has been helping Queenslanders achieve their independence goals for over 30 years. LifeTec provides information on assistive technology products to assist individuals with their functional independence at home, work and in the community. LifeTec does not sell assistive technology, however displays thousands of helpful items and have an online database of many more. Qualified health professionals can give you impartial advice so that you can make informed decisions about what is the best option.
With funding assistance from the Department of Health and Ageing (DOHA), LifeTec has been able to develop an online resource to improve awareness and facilitate the uptake of assistive Technology among older Australians. The new National ILCA Consumer Website (www.ilcaustralia.org.au) provides a product and service resource for older Australians and their carers. Central to this resource, is an online database with search assistance tool, which will help direct users to the products best suited to their needs.
