What information do I need when contacting LifeTec?

Please have your My Aged Care referral code and details of the repairs or maintenance you need.

Can LifeTec complete any type of repair?

CHSP generally supports minor repairs and maintenance related to your safety and independence. LifeTec will review your request and confirm what can be completed.

Do you provide gardening services?

No. LifeTec does not provide gardening or lawn maintenance services. Our CHSP service focuses on minor home repairs and safety-related maintenance.

Do I need an Occupational Therapist assessment?

An Occupational Therapist assessment is not normally required for general home repairs and maintenance. If your request involves a home adjustment or modification, an assessment may be needed.

Who completes the work?

Our in-house Maintenance Officer completes the work. Where specialist work is required, LifeTec coordinates appropriately qualified and licensed tradespeople.

Q: Will I need to pay anything?

You may be asked to contribute towards the cost. LifeTec will explain the quotation, available funding and any contribution before work begins.

LifeTec provides CHSP home maintenance services across Brisbane and Townsville, helping older Australians keep their homes safe and functional. Our in-house Maintenance Officers assist with minor maintenance and basic repairs, while our trusted network of licensed and vetted tradespeople can assist with minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry work.

We confirm whether the requested work can be completed under CHSP and explain the quotation, available funding and any contribution required.

Approved works are completed

Our trusted team completes the approved works to help keep your home safe and functional.

Who May Be Eligible?

You may be eligible to access CHSP services if you:

Are aged 65 years or older
Are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person aged 50 years or older
Are homeless or at risk of homelessness and aged 50 years or older
Need entry-level support to continue living safely and independently at home

Eligibility is determined through a My Aged Care assessment.
